{"id":734,"date":"2026-07-16T08:45:50","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T08:45:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aldameer.org\/en\/?p=734"},"modified":"2026-07-16T08:51:24","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T08:51:24","slug":"al-dameer-organizes-a-session-on-psychosocial-support-for-displaced-children-through-extracurricular-activities-to-raise-awareness-of-childrens-rights-and-protection","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aldameer.org\/en\/?p=734","title":{"rendered":"Al-Dameer: Organizes a Session on Psychosocial Support for Displaced Children Through Extracurricular Activities to Raise Awareness of Children\u2019s Rights and Protection"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>July 16, 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Press Release<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Al-Dameer: Organizes a Session on Psychosocial Support for Displaced Children Through Extracurricular Activities to Raise Awareness of Children\u2019s Rights and Protection<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Yesterday, Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Al-Dameer Association for Human Rights\u2014Gaza organized an awareness-raising session titled \u201cProtecting Children and Raising Their Awareness of Their Rights,\u201d targeting 22 displaced children at the Al-Safa Shelter for Displaced Persons, as part of the Foundation\u2019s efforts to protect children and promote awareness of children\u2019s rights through educational, recreational, extracurricular, and interactive activities that take into account the children\u2019s needs amid the difficult humanitarian conditions they face in the Gaza Strip during the genocidal war against the Strip.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Mr. Mohammad al-Bardawil opened the session by welcoming the participating children and emphasizing Al-Dameer\u2019s commitment to continuing to implement awareness-raising activities that provide psychological and social support, which help strengthen children\u2019s awareness of their rights and provide them with safe spaces for learning, interaction, and recreation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Mr. Fadi Ghneima facilitated the awareness session, using a variety of non-curricular games and interactive activities designed to introduce the children to the principles of human rights and the fundamental rights guaranteed by the Convention on the Rights of the Child, including the right to life, education, protection, play, and non-discrimination. He presented these concepts in a simplified manner appropriate for the children\u2019s ages, encouraging participation and interaction while supporting them psychologically and socially.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The session saw positive engagement from the children, who participated in group activities and games that helped reinforce concepts of children\u2019s rights in a fun way and contributed to fostering a spirit of cooperation, dialogue, and respect for others through these extracurricular recreational activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Al-Dameer Association
