Al-Dameer: 147 Palestinians Killed in the Gaza Strip During July, Including 18 Children and 12 Women, Amid Continued Targeting of Civilians

Al-Dameer Association for Human Rights – Gaza: Israeli occupation forces continue to perpetrate grave violations against the civilian population in the Gaza Strip as part of the ongoing genocide, accompanied by the widespread targeting of civilians and civilian objects, in violation of the rules and principles of international humanitarian law.

According to Al-Dameer’s monitoring and documentation, 147 Palestinians were killed during the month of July, including 18 children, 12 women, 11 members of the civilian police and security services, four individuals assigned to securing humanitarian aid trucks, four workers killed after entering their workplace, and seven civilians killed when a funeral procession was targeted while accompanying the burial of a victim.

The documented patterns of attacks were as follows:

36 civilians, including two children and two women, were killed in drone strikes carried out outside areas where Israeli occupation forces were deployed.

Israeli occupation forces bombed residential homes without prior warning, killing 16 civilians, including six children and five women.

Attacks targeting civilian vehicles resulted in the killing of 20 civilians, including one child.

Airstrikes on tents sheltering internally displaced persons killed 24 civilians, including five children and two women.

Attacks targeting civilian police posts resulted in the killing of 11 individuals.

Israeli forces opened fire on civilians inside areas designated as “yellow zones,” killing 20 civilians, including two children and one woman.

An attack on a hospital shelter centre killed five civilians, including two children and two women.

The targeting of mourners during a funeral procession resulted in the killing of seven civilians.

Attacks on metalworking workshops killed four civilians.

An attack on a vehicle designated to secure humanitarian aid convoys resulted in the killing of four civilians.

According to figures released by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, these violations since the entry into force of the ceasefire have resulted in the killing of 1,216 Palestinians and the injury of 3,977 others.

Al-Dameer Association for Human Rights stresses that these violations are not isolated incidents but form part of a systematic policy pursued by the Israeli occupation forces aimed at undermining the lives of civilians in the Gaza Strip and destroying the conditions necessary for their survival.

The Association further affirms that these violations reflect a dangerous pattern of excessive and unlawful use of force that amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity. This requires urgent international action to bring these violations to an end, ensure immediate protection for civilians, guarantee accountability, and prevent impunity.
